Intensive Care
Overview
When patients are critically ill, they need the highest standard of specialist care 24 hours a day.
The Wellington Hospital – the UK’s largest independent hospital - provides a high standard of intensive care around the clock. The hospital has 50 critical care beds including two Intensive Care Units with a total of 28 beds dedicated to Level 3 intensive care. This makes the Wellington the biggest provider of critical care in the private sector.
A team of consultants who specialise in intensive care, many of whom have senior posts in London’s renowned teaching hospitals, lead the unit supported by specialist nurses who can provide constant one-to-one care for our patients. The unit is capable of caring for patients with the most complex health needs including those who have had major general, neuro or cardiac surgery, and who require the highest level of organ support. This means patients and their relatives can be confident they’re being looked after safely at this anxious time.
